The heated indoor pool was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Ghent.
The room had a persistent damp smell upon arrival, although it improved after venting.

But those pillows were too thick, made it uneasy to sleep. The A/C was nice and cool, though.

The reasons I'm conflicted
The staff were friendly, providing helpful guidance on exploring the city. The room was large, comfortable with a good view, ideal for a relaxing stay! I particularly enjoyed the mini fridge to keep snacks!
Noise from adjacent rooms was a real distraction, particularly in the evenings when trying to unwind. The swimming pool was smaller than expected, offering limited space to enjoy a proper swim or play around!

We loved the pool access and the charming old-style house character. The manager's parrot added a fun twist!

The friendly staff made everything easy, and the room was spacious. We enjoyed visiting the local parks and checking out the nearby museums. Breakfast was a great deal, and the tram made city travel simple. The private pool was a nice perk.
One downside was the air conditioning, as it only worked sporadically in our room.

The family room was excellent, with comfy sleeping arrangements for all of us, including our grown kids. We especially loved the kitchenette that allowed us to prepare our meals. The indoor pool was a fantastic highlight, and the breakfast was plentiful with plenty of delicious options.
My wife says that some kitchen utensils were missing.
